When I painted this English Ivy, I wanted the curling, rippling leaves to feel almost sculptural — each twist and turn carrying its own rhythm. The plant sits at the edge of a wood‑grained table, and that boundary gave me a way to anchor the composition while letting the leaves spill outward with their own internal logic. This piece is part of a small series of plant paintings where I was exploring how close observation can turn something familiar into a moment of quiet intensity. The framing I built for it echoes that rigor, complementing the structure of the stems and the careful balance of light across the surface.

This botanical study of English ivy reflects Tuck’s sensitivity to line, gesture, and organic movement. The leaves unfold across the composition with rhythmic clarity, creating a sense of natural elegance and quiet vitality. A graceful, contemplative work painted with professional/museum quality oils on stretched canvas and mounted by the artist in a real wood floater frame consistent with the artist’s aesthetics. The product size includes the frame.
