In Glass Animals and Necklace, I wanted to explore how small glass figures — in this case, a pig and an owl — could carry a surprising sense of presence when arranged with precision. Their rounded forms catch and bend the light, creating subtle distortions that shift as the viewer moves. The cross pendant necklace, with its chain wrapped gently around the figures, adds a contrasting line and a human trace, binding the objects into a single visual relationship.

Light moves across the surfaces with deliberate control: soft highlights along the curves, faint internal reflections, and delicate tonal transitions that reveal the fragility of the glass. The composition stays quiet and contemplative, but the interplay of transparency and shadow introduces a slight abstraction — a reminder that these objects are both literal and symbolic.

This painting reflects my early interest in how material presence and controlled contrast can elevate simple objects into something more meditative. It’s a refined work, grounded in technical discipline yet open to emotional interpretation.
